Varnoli Nani

Varnoli Nani, or Nani Varnoli (વરનોલી નાની), was one of the 26 small princely states or Talukas that formed the Pandu Mehwas grouping during the British Raj. It was initially administered by the Rewa Kantha Agency and later by the Baroda and Gujarat States Agency. Today, it belongs to the state of Baroda. Title of the prince: Talukdar , or Thakor. Dynasty: Rathod , Rajputs. Religion: Hindu. Area: 2.59 square kilometers, and 1 villages. Population: 87 people (1931). Current head of the dynasty: unknown. History: Varnoli Nani was a non-jurisdictional state, governed by a Talukdar belonging to the Rathod Rajput dynasty. In 1940, power was divided between two chiefs or "shareholders." Varsoda

Varsoda (वरसोदा) was a princely state located in the Mansa district, Gujarat, on the bank of the Sabarmati River. During the British Raj, it belonged to the Sabar Kantha Agency of the Bombay Presidency. Today, it is part of the state of Gujarat. Title of the prince: Thakore . Dynasty: Chavda . Religion: Hindu. Vasan Sewada

Vasan Sewada, Vasan Sawada or Vasan Sevada (વાંસન વીરપુર). During the British Raj, the Rewa Kantha Agency was divided into administrative units. One of these was Sankheda Mewas, a confederation that brought together 28 smaller rural states. Vasan Sewada limitaba con los estados principescos de Dudhpur, Baroda y Dudhpur al sur; con Vora al este; y con Vajiria al oeste y al sur. Su territorio pertenece hoy al estado de Gujarat. Vasan Virpur

Vasan Virpur (વાંસન વીરપુર). During the British Raj, the Rewa Kantha Agency was divided into administrative units. One of these was Sankheda Mewas, a confederation that brought together 28  smaller rural states.  Vasan Virpur was situated on the banks of the Narbada River in eastern Gujarat. Dynasty: Daima . Vasavad Majmu (वासवद मजमू) was a minuscule princely state in the Kathiawar region, holding the status of a Taluk (administrative division). Its territory today belongs to the state of Gujarat, India. Vasurna

Vasurna or Wasurna (વાસુર્ણા) was one of the 14 small minor principalities in the Dangs region, in Gujarat. They were all ruled by Bhils dynasties. Vasurna was bordered by the princelys state of Pimpri to the northwest; Amala to the northeast and east; Surgana to the south; and Bansda to the west. Vav

Vav (वाव) was a princely state located in the Kathiawar Peninsula and was part of the Palanpur Agency, under the Bombay Presidency during the British Raj. In 1925, this agency became the Banas Kantha Agency. Currently, it is in the Vav-Tharad district, in the state of Gujarat, India. Title of the prince: Rana Saheb . Dynasty: Chauhan . Religion: Hindu. Vavdi Vachani or Vavdi Vachhani (વાવડી) was a small state with the status of a Thikana belonging to the Thana (a grouping of states) of Songadh, and was located on the Kathiawar Peninsula. Vekaria

Vekaria (વેકરિયા) was a small state on the Kathiawar peninsula, in the present-day state of Gujarat, India. During the British Raj, it belonged to the Lakhapadar Thana (a grouping of small states). Vekaria state was bordered by the princely state of Monvel to the west; by the princely state of Kathrota to the northeast; by the princely state of Amreli to the north; and by a remote block of territory that belonged to the princely state of Junagadh to the south and east. Vijanones

Vijanones, Vija-no-nes, Veja-no-ness, or simply Veja (विंचूर), was a small state with the status of a Taluka, located in the southeastern part of the Kathiawar peninsula, near the town of Mahuva. It bordered the states of Chok, Boda-no-ness, and Juanadapar. It was considered the smallest semi-independent state within the British Raj. It paid tribute to the Baroda State. Vijayanagar (Bombay)

Vijayanagara or Vijaynagar (विजयनगर) is the name of two different kingdoms that were located in present-day India. One of them was a princely state that, under British rule, was included in the so-called Bombay Presidency and is currently in the state of Gujarat. Title of the prince: Rao Sahib . Vijayanagara (ವಿಜಯನಗರ) is the name of two different kingdoms that were located in present-day India. One of them was the ancient and vast Vijayanagara Empire, located in South India, in the Deccan region. Virampura

Virampura, Vadia Virampura or Vadia Virampur (विरमपुरा) was one of 27 states that formed the Sankheda Mehvassi region, on the banks of the Narmada River, in eastern Gujarat. Today it belongs to the state of Gujarat. Title of the prince: Thakor . Dynasty: Daima , Rajputs. Religion: Muslim. Area: 4 square kilometers, and 2 villages. Population: 135 people in the year 1941. Current head of the dynasty: unknown. History: ruled by the Daima, a Rajput family like the other rulers of the small states in the area. Virampura paid tribute to the Maharaja of Baroda. Virpur

Virpur (वीरपुर) was a princely state situated in the historical region of Saurashtra/Kathiawar. Its capital was Virpur. Today, it is part of the state of Gujarat, in India. Title of the prince: Thakore . Dynasty: Jadeja . Religion: Hindu. Area: 171 square kilometers. It included 13 villages. Population: 8,594 people in the year 1941.
