Vijaypur

Vijaypur (विजयपुर) was a princely state with the status of a Thikana in the former region of Rajputana. Today, it belongs to the state of Rajasthan in India.

Title of the prince: Thakur.

Dynasty: Gohil.

Religion: Hindu.

Area: unknown.

Population: unknown.

Current head of the dynasty: Thakur Darbar Singhji Gohil, Thakur of Vijaypur.

History: The Thikana of Vijaypur was one of the numerous Rajput states in the Rajputana region. It was governed by the Gohil dynasty, a prominent Rajput clan who trace their origins back to the Guhila dynasty of Mewar. They consider themselves Suryavanshi Rajputs, claiming descent from the solar dynasty. They reigned in various ancient Indian states.

The current Thakur of Vijaypur, Darbar Singhji Gohil, is the father of two sons: Kunwar Sandeep Singhji Gohil and Kunwar Vijendra Singhji Gohil.

Valdara (वलदरा) was a small state, designated as a Thikana, located in Rajasthan, India. Title of the prince:  Thakur . Dynasty:  Rathore , clan Sindhal. Religion: Hindu. Area: unknown. Population: unknown. Current head of the dynasty:  Thakore Sahib Samdar Singhji.  History: The descendants of Maharaja Ajeet Singhji (1707-1724) of Marwar formed several thikanas, including Jalwana and Valdara.
