Viramdevra

Viramdevra (वीरमदेवरा) was a princely state with the rank of Thikana (minor principality or feudal lordship), located near the state of Jaisalmer. Viramdevra is located in the present-day state of Rajasthan, India.

Title of the prince: Rao Saheb.

Dynasty: Tanwar.

Religion: Hindu.

Area: unknown.

Population: unknown.

Current head of the dynasty: Rao Kishore Singhji Tanwar, the 20th Rao Saheb of Viramdevra.

History: It was ruled by a branch of the Tanwar Rajputs. The lineage of rulers of Viramdevra is documented, with Rao Viramdevji being the first Rao Saheb, around the 16th century.

The Tanwar clan has a significant history in North India, as their descent is attributed to the Puruvanshi lineage of Indraprastha (ancient Delhi). They ruled parts of North India at various times.

The current Rao Saheb of Viramdevra, Rao Kishore Singhji Tanwar, has four sons: Kunwar Gopal Singh, Kunwar Sumer Singh, Kunwar Leelam Singh, and Kunwar Bhagwat Singh.

Valdara (वलदरा) was a small state, designated as a Thikana, located in Rajasthan, India. Title of the prince:  Thakur . Dynasty:  Rathore , clan Sindhal. Religion: Hindu. Area: unknown. Population: unknown. Current head of the dynasty:  Thakore Sahib Samdar Singhji.  History: The descendants of Maharaja Ajeet Singhji (1707-1724) of Marwar formed several thikanas, including Jalwana and Valdara.
