Vijanones

Vijanones, Vija-no-nes, Veja-no-ness, or simply Veja (विंचूर), was a small state with the status of a Taluka, located in the southeastern part of the Kathiawar peninsula, near the town of Mahuva. It bordered the states of Chok, Boda-no-ness, and Juanadapar. It was considered the smallest semi-independent state within the British Raj. It paid tribute to the Baroda State.

Dynasty: Koli, sub-caste Khasia.

Religion: unknown.

Area: 1 square kilometer?, and 1 village. Population: 206 people (1931).

Current head of the dynasty: unknown.

History: It was one of the 23 states that made up the Chok Thana division and was ruled by the Koli family. It was a feudatory of the princely state of Baroda. In 1943, it was annexed by the Bhavnagar State. And in 1947, it was integrated into India.

Varsoda

Varsoda (वरसोदा) was a princely state located in the Mansa district, Gujarat, on the bank of the Sabarmati River. During the British Raj, it belonged to the Sabar Kantha Agency of the Bombay Presidency. Today, it is part of the state of Gujarat. Title of the prince: Thakore . Dynasty: Chavda . Religion: Hindu. Area: 28 square kilometers, and 4 villages. Population: 4,051 people (1892). Current head of the dynasty: Thakore Jayvijay Sinhji Chavda , Thakore saheb of Varsoda. History: The Varsoda dynasty descends from Surajmalji, the son of Jaya Sinhji, who received a part of the Ambasan estate upon his father's death. It belonged to the Chavda dynasty, one of the most important Rajput clans. Varsoda paid tribute to the state of Baroda. The last reigning Thakor was Jorawarsinhji Surajmalji, Thakor of Varsoda from 1919 to 1948. Currently, Jayvijay Sinhji Chavda is the Thakor of Varsoda.
