Vakhtapur (Pandu Mewas)

Vakhtapur or Vaktapur (वख्तपुर) was one of 26 minor states grouped under Pandu Mewas within the Rewa Kantha Agency, part of the Bombay Presidency during the British Raj. Today, it's located in the Indian state of Gujarat.

Title of prince: Thakur.

Dynasty: Solankhi, Rajput.

Religion: unknown.

Area: 3,885 square kilometers, with 1 village.

Population: 244 people (1901).

Current head of the dynasty: unknown.

History: Vakhtapur was part of the Pandu Mehwas division, a collection of smaller states that came under British protection between 1812 and 1825. Power within the state was divided among several Solankhi family shareholders, each bearing the title of Thakur. The state paid tribute to Baroda.

Population: unknown.
